Resonance is an audio and mobile guide for a contemporary art museum. It replaces numbered keypads with location aware stories that begin as you approach a work and fade as you walk away.
01
The challenge
Visitors spent more time looking at their devices than at the art. The old guide asked them to hunt for tiny numbers on the walls, type them in, and sit through three minute monologues whether they wanted them or not.

02
The approach
I prototyped with cardboard phones and a single speaker in an empty gallery before any code was written. The final guide uses soft proximity cues, a gentle tone rather than a notification, and layers every story into a ten second hook, a two minute listen and a deeper dive for the curious. The screen stays dark unless you ask for it.

03
The outcome
Visitors looked up again. Time spent in front of each work grew, and the guide became part of the museum's access programme for blind and low vision visitors.
