Stoop helps renters understand what living somewhere actually feels like, from the morning light to the walk to the bakery, before they book a viewing. I designed the search, map and listing experience end to end.

01

The challenge

Listings described rooms and prices but said nothing about daily life. Renters booked viewings for flats they ruled out within a minute of arriving, and landlords lost whole afternoons to people who were never going to sign.

02

The approach

I ran card sorts on what renters wished they had known sooner and built the search around those answers. Every listing now opens with a neighbourhood strip: morning and evening light, noise by the hour and the walk to everyday places. Filters speak human, like quiet at night or sunny mornings, instead of raw data.

03

The outcome

Renters booked fewer and better viewings, and landlords stopped asking for a phone screening step. The neighbourhood strip became the most shared part of every listing.

  • −34%

    wasted viewings

  • 2.6x

    more listings shared

  • +22%

    enquiries that became leases

Thanks for wandering through.
